Is there a need for Respiratory Technologists in BC?
I have a friend from Texas who would love to move here, but we can't find information on if you need this specialty. Any suggestions on where to get that info? TIA

It's thirty-nine degrees outside
The humidity is back building (-thunder is rolling in the distance
So what did I make for supper?
Chicken corn chowder
(— I grilled the corn and the chicken outside, so it's ...summerish?)
What was happening in the kitchen while I was making chowder on this lovely summer day?
My son was making pickles
I have a heatpump
...but I'm not looking forward to my next Hydro bill 🤷
Canada added 75K jobs in July, meanwhile the US lost 23K .. I'm totally gloating ..😄
Wonderfully written mysteries in BC taking place after WWII. Delightful and intelligent.
Found watermelon grown in Ontario at our No Frills store. It didn’t disappoint. Top quality. My husband and I ate the entire melon in a day. Heading out for another one.
TODAY IN CANADA: Today in 1927, the Peace Bridge over the Niagara River between the US and Canada was dedicated to commemorate 100 years of peace between the two countries.
🚧YOUR SAY: Would you support a bridge between our two countries being erected and named "Peace Bridge" today?
I'm looking for a job on the medical field, as a medical secretary or similar.
I keep seeing jobs in the healthcare field for nurses to get sponsored to move to the US. I think re rioters are getting desperate, as healthcare professionals are leaving the U.S to come here. (Thanks in big part to Tod's healthcare infusion movement)
So, yeah. Hard pass on that!
I was reading all the new posts at the Clubhouse this morning and it struck me again - this is the first time in my history that I remember, that Canadian citizens ourselves had such a collective voice. We always did but we are making real change. The world has stepped up and taken notice of us. Real proud moment.
Does YOUR town need more healthcare workers or tourist $$?
Our local #Nanaimo Infusion event has resulted in 200+ nurses and doctors moving to #VancouverIsland, and more than a 1M dollars in tourism revenue.
Jocelyn and I wrote a guide on how it worked — copy & use it free!
I walked in to Walmart today, but exited within 30 minutes.
I noticed that they no longer identify country of origin especially on produce, fruit and pantry items. I came especially for celery and lettuce, and NO indication where they were from.
No longer a place for me to shop.
Instead I walked to my Co-Op near by.
"Cannections" is now available Mondays and Thursdays!

Play the game everyone is talking about (and which has nothing to do with Connections from the N-Y Times which is an entirely & unrelated game that has nothing to do with this at all, I mean why would you even ask?)

On today’s date in 2002, #Moncton NB became Canada’s first officially bilingual city.
🥖 Do you think more Canadian cities should formally adopt a second language?
A Calgary teacher buys surplus food and turns it into meals served from a food truck. People can either buy food regularly, or buy a $5 token which someone facing food insecurity can use to buy a meal, no questions asked.

Never mind, Susan. The burning states are mostly Blue, so the Orange47 and his gang of thugs really don't care. They send fire alarms but no hoses. Rakes without handles. California Strong sends hot, dry, and inflammable messages of brother and sisterhood to Canada!
This isn’t for foreign interference but foreign influence. A good start but Canada does need a registry of foreign interference to. I emailed the link to NovaRed Mining as they hired Kristi Noem. https://www.canada.ca/en/foreign-influence-commissioner/registry.html
TODAY IN CANADA: In 1928, Canada's women's 4x100m relay team set a world record of 48.4 seconds to win gold in Amsterdam. It was the first-ever Olympics to include women's track events.
🇨🇦𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗔𝗬: What's Canada's greatest Olympic moment, in your view?
Living in a liberal town currenly over-run with fascists. Oh, Canada!
This is a very interesting video. Sad in some respects and funny in others.
I am particularly fond of the delivery of millions of rakes from Canadian Tire for purpose of raking the forests. It's sad because of the recent devastation of Spokane and other American towns have experienced.
I found today’s tricky. 😑

Dissatisfaction is escalating across Western Canada. The official verification of over 220,000 petition signatures by Elections Alberta—exceeding the required threshold by more than 40,000—has officially cleared the path for a referendum on Alberta independence
"I saw a TikTok video of something called the Vancouver Island Healthcare Infusion... an invitation for U.S. medical professionals to visit in the hope of convincing some to fill the Island’s dire need for doctors and nurses. Hundreds came.
Watching those TikToks, I thought, Maybe I could live there."
