In the latest newsletter from Tod he has thoughts on PR. Lots love this idea, but me, not so much. I fear Italian style results and government paralysis leading to co finial elections. Yes, minority governments have to cooperate and generally give positive results, but the occasional Majority government also works for Canadians. I’m happy with the system as is.

Several people commented on Tod’s “Expel Pete Hoekstra” YouTube post asking for info about the music accompanying the video. Do tell, please!! Some think the song was AI generated. Was it? Most have exhausted their search engines trying to locate the source. (I being one of those people!) The tune is catchy, and the words are spot on! Can you give us more info on the creator and availability to download the music? Thanks!
As a former law clerk and court liaison, this is 1000% a very, very bad idea! The US does mandatory cash bail and look how messed up things are. People incarcerated not because they're any greater danger to society or flight risk, but because they're too poor to afford it and have no way to get the cash that fast, if at all.
The current system would work if only they invested in actually going after people financially who breach their conditions under the current rules, including debt collection, liens on property and blocking renewals of driving licenses and passports, etc. Fix what's already there rather than going down a rabbit hole that makes no sense.
Anybody else a member but keeps getting this message? Some of them play, some of them wont.

The standard cheese, Reblochon, is banned in Canada (as are all raw milk cheeses)
Most if the suggested substitutes are imported, and in this case Brie is a non starter

I don’t really care what the Federal/Provincial governments allow on the shelves… I will still buy Canadian first, anywhere other than the US second. Only US if there is no other way and I truly need the item.

The owners said they would consider longer than typical air bnb stays - particularly for health care workers looking to explore locations /housing to relocate to. It had a full kitchen- BR/LR and washer dryer. Located at Departure Bay- about a 10

via From Far and Wide by Tod MaffinI had 3 of them and really loved them. My first one came with the engine in pieces in a cardboard box and I had to rebuild it twice. The first time I neglected to change the exhaust valves and it went to lunch on one. The second time rebuilding it outlasted 3 bodies and 130000 miles before I sold it. It was really great fun to drive them on snowy roads and never got stuck with them.
The city is asleep for the next few weeks with Congress in recess. It's 8:30 pm and 91 degrees F (sorry, I can't do the calculations).
If you drive around DC you'll see Trump's fingerprints everywhere. The signs on the National Mall boasting about various beautification projects (which people give the middle finger to as they drive by), the pea-green reflecting pool, and the armed and uniformed men patrolling the sidewalks in pairs.
The heat and haze are the same. We're used to that. The constant feeling of unease and anxiety is relatively new. I don't want to get used to that.
